1. Who we are
TradeReady ("we", "us", "our") provides website design and hosting services for UK trades and small businesses. We're the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, email hello@gettradeready.uk.
2. What we collect
When you submit our contact form we collect:
- Your name and business name
- Your business type
- Your email address and phone number
- Any message you choose to send
- Your IP address and browser user-agent (for spam protection only)
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry — lawful basis: legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
- To deliver our services if you become a customer — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To prevent abuse of our form (IP/user-agent) — lawful basis: legitimate interest in protecting our service.
We don't use your details for marketing, and we don't sell or share them with third parties for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up and maintain customer history. Customer records are kept for as long as you have a relationship with us, plus 6 years for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see Section 7.
5. Who we share it with
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run TradeReady:
- Our hosting and database provider (used to store enquiries)
- Our email delivery provider (used to send you our reply and notifications)
All processors are bound by contract to handle your data securely and only on our instructions.
6. Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We may use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep our form working) — these don't require consent under UK law.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict our processing
- Request a copy in a portable format

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
